Make Your Own: Medicinal Hot Cacao

Everyone loves a cup of hot chocolate! Even Santa!

Our twist at The Herb Shoppe is our Hot Cacao Mushroom blend. Enjoy it hot or cold, or even in your smoothie or milkshake. There is no wrong way to love this blend.

Boost immunity, energy and stress resiliency with our take on the classic drink! Antioxidant-rich herbs are blended with Chaga mushroom and Cacao to create a nutrient-dense version of the delicious comfort drink. Mushrooms naturally support and balance the immune system, while Cacao and Maca support energy and stress resiliency. A hint of Cinnamon and Vanilla bring warmth and sweetness.

Warm up with this yummy beverage for the season. 

Here’s what you will need:

Per drink:

  • 1 Tablespoon of Hot Cacao Culinary Blend
  • 8oz of milk of choice. I love coconut milk with this blend.
  • Sweetener of choice-Honey or maple syrup (optional)

To Make Your Own: Medicinal Hot Cacao

  1. Take your milk and Hot Cacao blend and add to a small sauce pan.
  2. Bring to boil and then turn down to a simmer.
  3. Use a whisk to mix everything together. Add sweetener here until blended.
  4. Turn off heat and cover, allowing powder to steep for 10 min.
  5.  Add to your favorite mug and sip away!
