Drinking Vinegars are not only delicious, but an excellent way of getting herbs into your diet. Like alcohol and water, vinegars are also a perfect way to extract herbs. Apple Cider Vinegar can be beneficial in many ways to the body, whether its used internally or externally, as an aid for digestion, upset GI, blood sugar regulation and healthy skin to list a few.
A sipping, drinking vinegar, traditionally named an oxymel or shrub, can be added to any beverage, or just enjoyed on its own. It is a combination of vinegar, honey and herbs. You can get creative with your blends. For the holidays, I have created a yummy Mulling Spice Sipping Vinegar with our Open Heart Mulling Spice blend. Add a little Apple Cider to this yummy blend, or your favorite liquor, and your taste buds will be delighted.
Watch me live on KGW8 with Cassidy Quinn on November 27th at 5pm, for a live clip from The Herb Shoppe for this month’s product making tip!
