Make Your Own: Spring Smoothie

Make Your Own: Spring Smoothie

Amanda Furbee
Spring is right around the corner and you may be trying to shake off the feeling of winter sluggishness. Making fresh smoothies on the regular is a great way to bring in natural energy and vitamins to your daily regimen. The best part about smoothies are the fact that you can customize them often from sweet to savory. Add a dash of our Power Green Smoothie Blend to any blend and fortify your smoothies and protein drinks with nutrient dense green plant power! Our Power Green Smoothie blend was created by our in-house expert, Chef Nige. With one scoop, add vital nutrients to your smoothie! Vitamin and mineral-rich Nettle leaf is blended with a powerhouse of other nutrient dense and anti-inflammatory herbs. Alfalfa leaf, nourishing Moringa leaf, balancing Red Raspberry leaf, and detoxifying Dandelion leaf boost the vitality and nutrition of your morning routine. Nettle, sometimes known as the “kale of herbs” is high in vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium and calcium. Dandelion has been used for centuries to promote overall wellness and vitality within the body. We also included Spirulina, the blue-green super algae packed with protein, antioxidants, iron and other vital minerals. Add this blend to your smoothie, protein drinks or just in water for some extra plant power to get you started. Just a simple reminder that food is medicine. What we put into our bodies is what we get out of them. Watch me live on KGW8 in March to learn how to make this Spring Smoothie blend! Here’s what you will need:
