Juglans nigra
Black walnut is an excellent herb for fungal and parasitic infections. Topically, it is used for eczema, psoriasis, fungal infections, dandruff, and herpes sores; internally, it is most often used to kill parasites, but also as a mild laxative. The hull contains iodine, which is necessary for proper thyroid function.
