Daucus carota

Wild carrot is a stimulating, diuretic herb. Its diuretic and cleansing actions can be useful in the treatment of gout, cystitis, and other kidney ailments.  A combination of gravel root, wild carrot, and a demulcent such as marshmallow can help the body break up and expel kidney stones. Wild carrot is high in volatile oils, and exerts an antiseptic effect in the urinary tract. The seeds of the plant are a carminative herb with a taste similar to celery seed, and may be used to treat flatulence.
