Osha is powerful bear medicine! It has a strong affinity for the lungs, helping to break up congestion in the chest and sinuses and open up the airways. Osha is also anti-microbial, and could be a great choice for tonsillitis and any infection of the respiratory system. It has been used for those with allergies and allergy-induced asthma. Osha is an ingredient in many throat sprays due to its slight numbing effect and anti-microbial activity. It is a favorite of singers and speakers; members of some western Native American tribes have long used it during ceremonies involving prolonged singing, speaking, and chanting. Osha can be useful for travelers and hikers, as it helps open up the airways and allow more oxygen to flow- it may even ease symptoms of altitude sickness.
