Lycopus virginicus 

Bugleweed can be useful for reducing the output of thyroid stimulating hormone from the pituitary glad, helping to calm hyperthyroid and hyperadrenal states and reducing hyper-excitability, rapid pulse, and other “jittery” symptoms. It is believed to work on the cardiovascular system by strengthening the heart and reducing rapid heartbeat. Also a hemostatic, it may halt or reduce bleeding during excessive menstruation, nosebleeds, bleeding piles, etc.
