The blossoms come from the Bitter Orange tree, a resilient evergreen which belongs to the Rutaceae family. These are the same flowers that are used to extract Orange Blossom Absolute. Oils and absolutes are produced using very different processes, rendering oils with somewhat different aromas and textures. The absolutes are solvent extracted, amber-colored, and more viscous than Neroli essential oil which tends to be lighter in color with a more delicate aroma.
Neroli was first introduced as a fashionable scent near the end of the 17th century by the Duchess of Bracciano, Princess of Nerola. It was said that she used it to perfume her gloves and in the water used for bathing, and this beautiful oil has been known as Neroli ever since. Today Neroli essential oil is widely used in perfumery, skincare, and in blends to help promote relaxation and relieve stress.

"If you want to change your life and overall well-being take the first step and visit the Herb Shoppe. They are so knowledgeable in herbs, flower essences, and everything vital to life. I am so very grateful for this store."
"The herb shoppe is amazing! I had such a positive experience and the staff was so patient and helpful. As a newbie to herbalism and apothecary, it's so refreshing to be guided and helped out without any judgement. Vicky is super awesome and knows so much about herbalism and essential oils. Great selection of herbs and they have some delicious kombucha on tap."
"This place is amazing. The staff there are always very helpful. Reasonable prices for a large selection of herbs, teas, etc. They have smudge sticks and other things too. I am a huge fan of their turmeric chips for my inflammation. It's better than taking ibuprofen, and I can just drop a few chips in my tea."
