Sage is cooling, cleansing, and awakening. It can be useful for hormonal changes related to shifting estrogen balance, including menopause symptoms. It helps the body regulate its fluids, making it a go-to herb for excessive sweating or discharge, or for dryness of the mucous membranes. Sage can help dry up breast milk in cases of excessive lactation; it is not recommended for those who need to maintain or increase their milk production.
