Saw Palmetto supports all reproductive organs, most likely due to its effects on the adrenal cortex and nervous system. It calms irritable conditions of the reproductive system, and acts as a nutritive tonic. Its tonic quality paired with its diuretic effect make it a go-to for urinary symptoms associated with benign prostate enlargement. In combination with demulcent herbs and herbs with a strong affinity for the urinary tract, saw palmetto is also helpful for UTIs, cystitis, and urethritis.
