Serenoa repens 

Saw Palmetto supports all reproductive organs, most likely due to its effects on the adrenal cortex and nervous system. It calms irritable conditions of the reproductive system, and acts as a nutritive tonic. Its tonic quality paired with its diuretic effect make it a go-to for urinary symptoms associated with benign prostate enlargement. In combination with demulcent herbs and herbs with a strong affinity for the urinary tract, saw palmetto is also helpful for UTIs, cystitis, and urethritis. It can be highly effective for hormonal acne, chronic pelvic pain, decreased sex drive, hormonal hair loss, and hormone imbalances, particularly those related to androgens. Because of its pungent scent and flavor, it is usually encapsulated or taken in tincture form.
